The Lodge at blue sky collateral & stationery

The Lodge at Blue Sky is a truly unique luxury experience. Nestled into the Wasatch mountains and close to nearby Park City, the views and experiences are unprecedented. Horseback ride and get friendly with the rescued animals at Saving Gracie’s, learn to shoot with sporting clays, hike and find yourself among nature, fly fish the nearby river, or just relax and enjoy the awe-inspiring surroundings. With adventure this exciting, I knew Blue Sky’s collateral had to be as immersive as the Lodge itself and I was eager to create something special for this one-of-a-kind resort.

The welcome “field & sky journal”"

Instead of the bland welcome papers guests at the Lodge at Blue Sky receive a custom “field & sky journal” upon arrival. Many of the pages are blank in order for the guest to fill it with memories and keep as a memento. Some pages include custom illustrations and information unique to the Wasatch setting. Details include constellations, flora & fauna, and a fishing log. In addition, tips, tricks, and secret spots to see are sprinkled throughout the book.

I created an illustrative, folded map that tucks into the back of the notebook and includes many popular hiking trails and property information.

Guest Stationery — Nature Quote Postcards

Rather than using traditional loose sheets of paper for guest notes, we opted to create a series of postcards incorporating quotes from famous conservationists, naturalists, and other outdoorsy people. This was another way to make the stay more special, and to cut down on pieces of paper that would normally be thrown in the trash.

I had so much fun designing the entire collateral package for The Lodge at Blue Sky. This was a project that used a lot less paper than traditional hotel collateral packages, but still managed to create an even bigger impact.
